In this Lightning Talk, DIAL will present lessons learned from a digital data project conducted in Malawi in collaboration with Cooper-Smith, Airtel and TNM. In this project, data from Mobile Network Operators (MNO), MoH, UNICEF and other relevant digital and geospatial data sources was used to identify where new clinics should be established to best serve the needs of the population. We will share how we anonymized the data, implemented high level data architecture, and conducted data quality validation. We'll also share our exploratory data analysis, feasibility of analytical model and ultimate delivery of insights and analytics that inform this use case.
